Biography

Jules M. Pieters received his PhD in Social Sciences (Psychology) from the University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He was Professor of Instructional Technology and Applied Psychology at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. He currently is Professor of Applied Psychology and director of the Graduate School of Education at the Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands. His research interests include issues related to domain specific learning and instruction and to design processes, in particular, participation design and learning by designing. He is also involved in projects on knowledge development in educational research.
