Biography

Dr Luba Torlina is a lecturer in the School of Information Systems, Faculty of Business and Law, Deakin University. She has PhD from the Institute for System Studies, Moscow, where the area of her specialization was Computer Applications and Mathematical Methods in Economics and Business Management. During her career, Dr Torlina has held several positions in academia as well as in the industry and has gained considerable experience as an academic researcher and an industrial analyst. Her most recent research interests and publications are in the areas of information product quality, information markets, Knowledge Management and organisational learning. In particular, one of the current projects focuses on the role of communities of practice (CoP) in organisational knowledge work.
