Biography

Richard. A. Schwier is a Professor of Educational Communications and Technology at the University of Saskatchewan, where he coordinates the graduate program in educational technology. He is the principal investigator in the Virtual Learning Communities Research Laboratory, which is currently studying the characteristics of formal online learning communities. Professor Schwier's other research interests include instructional design and social change agency.
