Biography

Thérèse Laferrière is full professor of pedagogy at Laval University. Her research activities focus on networked learning environments and especially participants' online interactions in networked communities (learning communities, Communities of Practice and knowledge building communities). She served as President of the Canadian Association for Teacher Education (CA TE/CSSE), and was the president of the Canadian Education Association (2001-2002). She was Dean of Education at Laval University (1987-1995) as well as President of the Association francophone des doyennes et doyens, directeurs et directrices d'education du Canada. She is the current coordinator of CATE SIG Technology and Teacher Education.
